Title: Apparel Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 4 + Months contract
Onsite: Mon- Thu, Fri: WFH
Apparel Designer
Design performance and lifestyle product through practical insights, knowledge of construction, trims, and materials to produce innovative apparel that reflect design ethos and philosophies. Must be able to develop concept and seasonal designs that may span across a variety of product types and multiple sports such as football, baseball, softball and including fan wear. Must be experienced in technical sportswear and performance, gender-fluid, knits, woven, tops, and bottoms. Member must be able to attend fit sessions with a discerning eye to develop premier product across various levels of distribution and price-point. Collaborate and partner across design, business, materials, and categories to ideate, present, develop, and problem-solve through every step towards commercialization. Develop concepts, mock-ups, and material development. Prepare presentation materials around seasonal design narratives, toolboxes, and frameworks to communicate design-intent across styles and collections. Help support teammates across various needs. Work with cross-functional members within in graphic design, color design, technical design, development, costing & sourcing, and product
line management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Materials, Graphics, Product Design, Human Body Design and four (4) years of experience in job offered or in a designer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
- Storytelling and narrative creation;
- Translating direction and narrative into physical products;
- Creation and delivery of presentations;
- Adobe Creative Suite;
- Presentation tools such as Keynote and indesign
- Material understanding;
- Pattern understanding;
- Apparel construction;
- Sewing; and
- Digital or 3D software such as CLO3D
