Senior Director, Apparel Design - Women's Fashion Position Summary... As a Senior Director, Apparel Design, you will lead a Women's Fashion private brand and initiatives that are aligned with the Walmart Apparel Strategic Business Unit (SBU) merchandising goals. You will assure that Walmart’s private brand DNA/guidelines, trends, aesthetic/style, quality and value all support the customer’s needs and lead the market. You’ll help ensure merchant leadership is aligned with the brands and assortment; and manage the P&L and annual budget for the portfolio brands. You’ll sweep us off our feet if: You enjoy building and developing private brand strategy and execution, supporting long term business plans and executing prioritized strategic programs. You understand and know how to build a winning brand aesthetic and DNA/guardrails. You are data savvy: you can analyze competition, customer behavior, industry trends, and the macro environment. You are omni channel customer-focused: You make customer-centric recommendations and decisions across all customer touchpoints. You are tenacious, dedicated and thrive working with ownership, autonomy, and a healthy dose of competition. You’ll make an impact by: Brand Execution: Oversee all aspects of the portfolio of brands including brand management, design, merchandising analytics, and storytelling. Merchandising Differentiation and Competitive Advantage: Understanding the competitive landscape of the brand portfolio and developing a winning strategy. Pricing Strategies: Ensuring pricing strategies support portfolios' objectives to drive ROI and increase market share. Partnership with Leaders: Partnering with other Senior Leaders to ensure Brand collections and strategy is in alignment with other business unit strategies. Transformative Talent Development: Developing a transformative talent strategy for Teams which clearly identifies the skills, experiences and competencies needed. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 6 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area. 6 years’ experience with cross-functional project management. Preferred Qualifications... Corporate leadership experience in an Apparel Retail environment, Corporate leadership experience in Business Administration, Merchandising, Sourcing, or relevant field, Masters degree in Liberal Arts or relevant field, Online Retail specializing in Apparel.
