Presentation Designer

Do you have a passion for detail, precision, creativity, and storytelling? Do you understand the need for brand continuity and design consistency? We are looking for someone to temporarily join our team as we help presenters prepare their PowerPoint presentations for our annual conference. The right candidate will need to understand that the design of a presentation is instrumental in enhancing the story, conveying the message, and sparking reactions from the audience. They accept and incorporate feedback and check work for accuracy. They are technically adept and a problem solver, delivering projects on time and supporting colleagues and clients alike.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) contract position that will start June 1st and finish mid October. You will work creating 60–90 PowerPoint presentations primarily for our National Conference.
Key Responsibilities
·Creating presentations that are creative and impactful that meet the presenter’s design needs while maintaining brand integrity
·Visually interpreting the presenter’s notes to ensure the message is conveyed effectively
·Creating graphs, tables, and infographics in PowerPoint, Illustrator, and Photoshop
·Managing shared graphics and file directories
·Diligently backing up your work
·Taking responsibility for submitting finished work to Editorial and following up as necessary
·Assisting and supporting the team of presentation designers in this effort
Core Strengths
·Thorough knowledge of all aspects of PowerPoint, including animation, video, and audio
·Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
·Comfortable moving between Mac and PC platforms
·Great typography and presentation layout skills; must be able to use templates and follow brand guidelines
·Ability to conceptualize and choose or create appropriate imagery
·Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
·Ability to follow directions and communicate challenges
·Ability to balance working on and tracking multiple presentations at once
· Ability to QC own work with a high level of accuracy
·Open to guidance and feedback
· Experience working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
·Knowledge of WorkFront and Microsoft Teams a plus
