ADNET Systems invites applications for a position as Senior Scientific Software Developer, supporting NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This role can be performed remotely with occasional travel to visit customers or collaborators. The position is available as soon as possible, with salary commensurate with experience.
We are seeking a User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) Developer to create intuitive and interactive web applications focused on geospatial data visualization. The ideal candidate will combine strong UI/UX design skills with technical front-end development capabilities to produce responsive and accessible web applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape user experiences at the intersection of design and development, making complex geospatial data accessible and intuitive for users.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Investigation through NASA.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Experience with UX design principles and practices.
- Ability to create wireframes and interactive prototypes.
- Knowledge of version control using Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with map components and geospatial visualization.
- Understanding of Agile methodology and collaborative development.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well on a team and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for intuitive user interfaces.
- Ensure web applications are accessible and performance-optimized.
- Implement and work with interactive map components (Leaflet, Mapbox, Google Maps APIs) for geospatial data visualization.
- Maintain clean, well-documented code using Git/GitHub.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum workflows, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
