The successful candidate should possess excellent communications skills, project management experience, exceptional initiative, talent for collaboration, external and internal communications experience, and the capacity to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately. The candidate's experience should include management of multiple stakeholder groups, building robust communications programs and delivering results, and exemplary written and oral communications skills. The individual in this role needs to love and have deep experience in reactive communications, thrive on unwinding fast-moving and complex topics, and enjoy creating standard work resources, mechanisms, and structure to scale support. They should be able to think and communicate clearly and thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Key job responsibilities
• \tMonitor, assess, escalate, prioritize, and resolve a variety of situations occurring simultaneously with excellent judgement
• \tAbility to work across multiple stakeholders to quickly gather details and develop and deliver the needed communications
• \tDevelop creative, effective approaches to difficult and time-sensitive communications challenges (including support of issues through the team's on-call rotation)
• \tLook around corners to spot emerging topics and develop proactive and preventive communication plans
• \tOwn creating and maintaining toolkits, playbooks, processes, and messaging databases for global internal communication partners
• \tPay unrelenting attention to details
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing fast-moving reactive communications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
