POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for an Associate Instructional Designer. As part of the Human Resources Department, will be responsible for supporting organization-wide training needs that deliver key business results. This role consults and collaborates with key stakeholders to deliver learning and development and training materials to add a competitive advantage to the Company's workforce now and in the future.
This is a fully remote role. Candidates must be available during regular business hours in eastern and central time zones.
The duration of the assignment is a minimum of 12 months and the position offers a full-time schedule.Perform needs analyses and develop learning materials, including but not limited to courses, videos, guides, demos, exams, process maps, and SOPs.Design and create learning solutions and materials targeted at different employee audiences throughout the organization.Utilize multiple formats for training materials and select the appropriate format for the target audience and content. Evaluate the results of training programs and modify future iterations to improve training and business outcomes.Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that content is accurate, thorough, and meets the goals/requirements, including but not limited to federal and/or state regulations.Provide consultation to stakeholders to support the design, development, and management of quality courses, course materials, and learning objectives for various modalities.Organize and maintain materials; troubleshoot technical issues.Explore new course design strategies, contemporary learning models, and process improvement; share insights and recommendations with the HR team and business leaders.Serve as a resource and provide guidance to staff and stakeholders in the development/revision of outcomes-based curriculum/courses and assessments.Perform work under general supervision. Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to high-level staff.Work in accordance with Company and HR Talent Management policies and practices.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Payrate: $28.85 to $39.42 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, or another related field.Minimum one year of relevant work experience.Familiarity with common authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Storyline, Adobe Captivate).Familiarity with SCORM, AICC, or xAPI file standards.Ability to grasp technical content: advanced skills utilizing all aspects of MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Strong visual, oral, and written communication skills (with individuals, in small groups, and in front of large audiences).Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity required to interact and create material for a broad range of stakeholders.Interact effectively with other people. Establish rapport with individuals and groups, ask questions, explain information, listen well, and deal effectively and professionally with impediments to progress among members of a group.Strong problem-solving, analytical, influencing, facilitation, coaching, and project management skills.Ability to know when to facilitate and when to coach.Ability to be proactive and self-motivated while working both independently and within a team-oriented environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.Demonstrate excellent work habits (strong organizational and time management skills, problem-solving skills, oral and written communication, ability to be flexible).Excellent customer service skillsDemonstrated experience in data collection tools, data analysis, and data management.
