The Marketing Strategy & Planning Team
Okta’s Marketing Strategy & Planning function drive the Marketing strategy formation and planning motion to optimize marketing performance, deliver a strong return on investment and achieve our company objectives.
Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning - Studio & Communications
Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations this role will act as a strategic partner to our Marketing Studio and Corporate Communications leadership team. This role would work very closely across all Marketing functions, as well as Finance and procurement, and involves a mix of planning, creative problem solving, and data-driven decision making. As a key partner to the Studio & Corporate Communications team, this role will ensure the operations are coordinated and cohesive and support our company objectives.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with senior leaders to drive annual and quarterly planning processes, including budget and headcount planning, and strategic project prioritization
- Partner with senior leaders to define key priorities, resource needs and project timelines. Establish and track performance against success metrics
- Drive operational rigor and process improvements. Proactive, timely communication with stakeholders. Drive staff call agenda, team offsite agenda, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
- Serve as a key liaison between The Studio and marketing teams to ensure alignment and communication. Work with external agency partners as needed to scale creative efforts
- Assist with developing the framework to analyze Brand performance and creative impact. Proactively identify opportunities and use data driven insights to prioritize initiatives
- Partner closely with Finance and Field Marketing to build and own budget management, including annual and quarterly planning. Ensure accuracy in forecasting, correct utilization of funds and proactive reporting to leadership to ensure team are within budget
- Partner closely with Procurement to ensure contracts are executed on time. Streamline communication and workflow between the departments
- Play a key role in driving complex, cross-functional, global initiatives. Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget. Own communication and proactive updates on progress against plan
- Partner closely with the Marketing Analytics team to ensure data accuracy in reporting. Work with Studio and Corp Communication leaders to define business requirements for new dashboard builds and dashboard innovation
What you’ll bring to the role
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Marketing Strategy & Planning, Creative & Studio, Marketing Analytics or a similar role at a B2B, SaaS company
- 4+ years in managing Marketing budgets and resource allocation
- Strong understanding of key drivers of business and marketing strategy
- Strong analytical skills, performance data analysis, identifying trends and measure impact
- Proven experience in supporting execution within a high growth, global company
- Exceptional structured thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functionally and geographically distributed teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS/BA or equivalent required

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $131,000 — $197,000 USDBelow is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
