We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with a rank of E-5 or higher plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
Provides direct supervision for a staff of project designers, design coordinators and design specialists in the design and coordination of overhead and underground electric distribution projects. (May supervise engineers participating in a development program..) Provides leadership, coaching, feedback, mentoring and career development for direct reports.
Oversees the management of project schedules, handles elevated customer issues, and monitors workload to ensure completion of projects in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner. Communicates and implements large scale initiatives important to the financial well being of Dominion Energy. Provides technical solutions for complex customer electrical design issues. Monitors the CPD I/ Engineer I Development Program as applicable. Participates on panels and subcommittees promoting continuous improvement.
Reviews and approves design/engineering estimates to ensure engineering accuracy and compliance with Company policies and procedures. Partners with and develops effective relationships with local Construction and Operations managers. Demonstrates and encourages teamwork between Construction, Operations, Design and other departments such as Planning, Reliability, Right of Way, and Standards. Responsible for budgetary input and planning. Advises on and participates in employee technical training and development. Provides in-depth knowledge and direction in interpreting policies, procedures, agreements, and filed terms and conditions. Directs difficult or complex customer negotiations and/or participates in negotiations regarding agreements, contracts, terms and conditions. Serves as Design spokesperson and liaison with local government, community groups and individual homeowners.
May also manage a Right of Way group that prepares and secures easements, special agreements, quitclaims, government permits and plats. May also manage a Joint Use group that manages relationships with joint use utility partners. May also manage the customer contracts functions in Dominion Power Delivery including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, agreements, and filed terms and conditions.
Supervises emergency service restoration efforts. Acts as Patrol Manager over patrol efforts and coordinates efforts with Restoration Manager. Works in local offices or Regional Storm Centers during outage events.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences required for entry into this job include the following:
5+ years directly related experience;
Strong knowledge of concepts of electrical distribution systems, engineering, cost analysis techniques, construction standards, design methods, and safety;
Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills; supervisory; conflict management; team building; project management; time management; negotiation; organizational;
Abilities: Schedule and prioritize work; develop rapport with all levels of management and staff; motivate others; decision-making; manage multiple constantly changing and emerging priorities; physical attributes to perform essential functions such as walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.
