Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client for a Communications Specialist position. This role will support global marketing efforts, focusing on social media management, content development, and strategic communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in communications within a large organization and a strong understanding of digital platforms. Job Description:
The Communications Specialist will work within the Global Marketing Department to develop and implement strategic communication efforts. They will manage day-to-day social media operations, assist in content creation, and support brand initiatives. This position is critical in driving community engagement and supporting global marketing efforts. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance brand awareness. Manage and monitor social media presence across platforms. Create content for announcements, blog posts, social media, and other marketing materials. Assist in planning and executing paid social media advertising campaigns. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals. Provide guidance to other teams managing social accounts for various sub-brands. Support the Senior Communications Manager with additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (strong preference for candidates with scientific communication experience). 5+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within a large organization. Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail. Experience managing social media accounts and working with social media management platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and digital/social advertising platforms (Meta, LinkedIn). Ability to develop and execute strategic communication initiatives. Self-motivated and highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
