Leverage your sales experience into a career with Optum. As a Healthcare Sales Representative, you will handle incoming calls from individuals interested in insurance supplements (no cold calling). You will gather basic information, answer questions, and provide options to help callers select suitable plans based on their needs and budget.
Working Schedule:
This is a full-time position (32 hours during Non-Peak Season & 40 hours during Peak Season). Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required. Employees should be available for any of our 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am - 10:00 pm CST.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Medicare-eligible individuals via telephone, aiming to convert inquiries into qualified leads and sales.
- Identify customer needs by asking questions and actively listening, documenting information accurately.
- Use product knowledge to assess prospects' needs, explain differences between products, and help select the best options.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to prospects and current members regarding products and services.
- Assist prospects with completing enrollment applications over the phone, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Achieve sales, attendance, and performance goals.
- Maintain licensure, appointments, and certification requirements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding compliance and certification.
Note: An English proficiency assessment will be required after application.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or higher.
- Ability to obtain Health & Disability Insurance License for Puerto Rico.
- 3+ months of experience in a call center or similar environment.
- Proficiency with computers and Windows applications.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health & Life Insurance License for Puerto Rico.
- US Insurance License.
- 3+ months of sales experience.
- Proven success in a structured call center environment.
