Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interior Design Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and manage interior architectural design projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they meet established budgets, schedules, and client expectations. This role requires strong design expertise, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes in various market sectors, including senior living, multi-family/mixed-use, and large-scale commercial design. Responsibilities Develop, manage, and document interior architectural design projects from concept through to completion. Lead project proposals, contract documentation, and specifications. Ensure projects meet established budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Collaborate with clients to define their needs and transform their vision into innovative design solutions. Coordinate and manage Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE) selections, along with product and color selections throughout the design process. Participate in project management tasks including construction administration, managing project deliverables, and coordinating with contractors and vendors. Provide leadership in maintaining strong relationships with clients, peers, and industry partners. Contribute to team collaboration, sharing knowledge, and supporting workflow on a variety of projects of different sizes and complexities. Essential Skills Minimum of 8 years of experience in a professional architecture and interior design firm. Certified Interior Designer (CID) preferred. Proficiency in Revit (work samples will be requested). Familiarity with design and rendering software (e.g., Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners. Ability to work collaboratively with teams, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Ability to work in person in our Baltimore office for effective collaboration with the team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in senior living, multi-family/mixed-use, and large-scale commercial design. Strong design expertise and passion for delivering exceptional outcomes. Ability to lead a team in developing design drawings, technical documentation, and construction administration phase documents. Work Environment
Our firm is based in Baltimore, MD, with a dynamic and collaborative team of 75 employees across 5 studios. The Interiors team consists of 7 people and is part of a highly collaborative design group. We work on a variety of project types, including corporate headquarters, restaurant chains, hospitality, and multi-family housing. Work hours are typically 9-6 or 8-5 with a preference for starting at 8 or 8:30. The position requires 5 days in person with the possibility of 1 hybrid day in the future. We offer a Class A office space in the 100 N Charles Tower on the 18th floor, providing a panoramic view of the city. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
