Overview
Storytelling around music-making gear — its cultural impact, development, and creative potential — is at the core of what we do on the Guitar Center Content team. From deep dives into the features of the latest production equipment to an artist’s first impressions of their favorite new performance tools, the Content Producer will help establish new video concepts, as well as aid in existing ones, that amplify Guitar Center’s position in the music community.
As Content Producer, your creativity, understanding of how musicians consume content centered around gear, marketing skills, and production chops will be used for videos across multiple platforms that help further establish our brand as authoritative, relevant, and a vital resource for making informed buying decisions. You will steer the production of these pieces from concept to completion in a highly collaborative environment with members of our Video, Artist, and Social teams. You have a deep understanding of what makes a great story, a strong visual & cinematic aesthetic, experience in a variety of professional production settings, a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to go from idea to execution, and most importantly, a knowledge and passion for music-making.
With a firm grasp of the products we sell, our customers, and the music-making community, you will strategically integrate gear, music, and talent together demonstrating effective storytelling, compelling showcase of our products, and clear communication of their techniques and musical applications to further our efforts in inspiring and engaging our customers, growing our community of musicians, and generating enthusiasm for the brand.
You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Content and Social Media and work in close collaboration with others in the Content, Production, Artist, Events, Photo, and Social team.
