Seeking an experienced, client-focused Marketing Manager to drive the marketing function overall, including product and solution lifecycle management, brand strategy, value proposition, regulatory, internal/external communications, and public relations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, hands-on environment, bringing proven skills and capabilities in marketing and other commercial functions.
- The candidate is comfortable working in a highly technical offering, bringing a complex value proposition and consultative approach to market. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can guide cross-functional teams both internally and with partner agencies and clients.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial, R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure that the marketing function meets client's needs and aligns with overall growth strategy.
- As a key member of the Marketing and Commercial Teams, the primary responsibilities for the Marketing Manager will be to:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and market share.
- Plan and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and PR.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, application engineering, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including thought leadership, compelling content, graphics, and promotional assets.
- Work with outside creative agencies to build content marketing and collateral that align with our brand and marketing goals.
- Manage the marketing budget, track expenditures, and report on ROI and campaign performance.
- Analyze and interpret marketing data to optimize campaigns and improve overall effectiveness.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of marketing professionals.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to drive project management initiatives forward to meet timeline and revenue objectives.
- Regularly scheduled travel is expected (~30%). It is anticipated that short-notice travel will occur from time to time. Most travel will be domestic, but the candidate must be able to travel internationally on occasion.
- Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 10 years experience in a various marketing and marketing leadership role(s) r for technical products or offerings in the B2B space
- Proven success in overseeing all components of marketing including development of an overall strategic roadmap for an organization
- Demonstrated success in leading initiatives through Stage Gate Process (or similar innovation process), new market development, channel development, and launching new products/solutions that meet or exceed business objectives, including:
- Customer needs documentation
- Business case development
- Scale-up and validation activities coordination
- Product launch strategy
- Post launch follow-up
- Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to quickly understand the technical needs and opportunities in a given market segment and client site
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams without formal authority to achieve alignment, meet targets and ensure successful product launch
- Excellent teamwork and collaborative working skills
- Technical background with preference given to those with experience in membrane separations
- Capable of working relatively independently with minimal direction
- Bachelor's or advanced degree required in Engineering or equivalent scientific/technical field, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field, MBA preferred.
- Project management
- Process experience in industrial membrane separations including day-to-day operations as well as the ability to understand upstream and downstream operations and their impact on the membrane system a plus
- Commercial experience a plus
