We offer end-to-end services to develop, design, procure, manufacture, and commission these modular products to meet client requirements.
Position Value Proposition:
This
Design Configuration Manager
will be tasked to provide technical support for Bills of Material (BOM) and the change management process across multiple manufacturing sites to include part family matrices and part library creation. The change management process consists of implementing both engineering and production changes into manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities: Manage and create ASM drawing BOM activities related to the manufacturing and assembly of Power Distribution/Chiller Systems for the Data Center industry. Well versed in the creation of component and subassembly part families and part libraries within Autodesk Inventor. Prioritize and process Manufacturing Change Notices (MCN's) and provide direction for configuration implementation planning. Review and analyze Technical Drawing Package (TDP) along with change notices for accuracy and comparing updates to current Bills of Material (BOM). Identify impacts to released BOMs due to configuration changes i.e., routings, assembly setup, effectivity, procurement, and assembly to the floor and Work Instructions (WI) updates. Work with all manufacturing functions to gather information related to the current configuration of the BOMs as necessary. Provide technical input and guidance for finding solutions to problems within BOMs. Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:
I. Work Experience
5+ years' experience. Strong SolidWorks & PDM Pro Skills. Experience with reading engineering drawings for multiple programs (ACAD, SolidWorks, NAVIS Works). Knowledge of indented Bills of Material (BOMs). Understanding of processes to build and make products such as sub-assembly, installation, machining, welding, paint, marking, etc. II. Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in a technical area and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. III. Software & Technology
Experience with Microsoft applications i.e., Word, Excel, PP, etc. Knowledge/Experience with Product Data Management Systems (PDM). Experience with ERP Systems (a plus).
IV. Work Environment
Work is generally performed in a climate-controlled office area. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time throughout an 8-10 hour day.
