Description SAIC is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support a recently awarded contract, Project Overmatch. Work is performed on site in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical writing and communications within the Navy and/or Department of Defense (DoD). This individual will be responsible for developing, editing, and delivering a wide range of technical documentation, reports, and communications. This is a recently awarded contract, funded for five years. View additional opportunities for this program here: jobs.saic.com/overmatch Responsibilities: Technical Documentation Development: Research complex technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources, and produce high-quality, comprehensible technical documents tailored to diverse audiences. Document Refinement: Draft, expand, refine, and edit architecture documents, technical concepts, and solutions into comprehensive, compliant, and compelling formats. Proposal and White Paper Creation: Produce compelling white papers, technical briefs, and other documentation to support customer engagements and contract objectives. Content Development Coordination: Collaborate with customers, technical teams, and management to ensure accurate and effective content development. Compliance Assurance: Ensure all documents adhere to applicable government style guides and established standards. View additional opportunities for this program here: jobs.saic.com/overmatch Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical writing, preferably in Navy or DoD environments. Proven ability to create comprehensive and clear technical documentation tailored to diverse audiences. Experience developing reports, white papers, and architecture documentation. Familiarity with government regulations and compliance standards. Exceptional ability to communicate effectively, serving as a key spokesperson for technical documentation in support of initiatives. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and clarity in all written materials. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Knowledge of Navy or DoD-specific documentation standards and style guides is preferred. Required Clearance: Must possess an active Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience supporting classified DoD contracts or projects. Familiarity with the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA) and associated technical systems. Knowledge of the Overmatch ESS contract objectives and deliverables. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
