This is an exciting opportunity to join an established architecture firm in Austin, TX. This Senior Interior Designer opportunity is an impactful role working directly with clients and the team.
The Senior Interior Designer duties will include preparation of design solutions, preparation of schematic design, design development and construction documents, selection of interior finishes, maintaining the finish and product library, maintaining vendor relationships, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and team members within a collaborative, team environment.
Responsibilities of Role Provide active leadership for interior design of projects Provide coordination with vendors of interior finishes Provide production capability to delivery projects from schematic design phase through construction document phases Provide day-to-day project production in REVIT and Bluebeam efforts Provide active support for administrative support and operational functions Provide and support creative design solutions Provide technical detailing for projects Provide project code research and oversee efforts with code compliance Provide effective written and verbal communication to clients, team members, consultants, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and general contractors Provide presentations of interior design and interior finishes for projects Manage the interior finish library for our practice Provide selection of FF&E for projects Provide cost estimates for interior finish selections and FF&E for projects
Qualifications Minimum Bachelor of Interior Design or Bachelor of Interior Architecture 7+ years of relevant experience Creative design thinking, preparation of interior design concepts and presentations Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documentation in REVIT – including preparation of Life Safety Plans, Floor Plans, Equipment Plans, Reflected Ceiling Plans, Finish Plans, and Interior Elevations Selection of interior finishes, FFE, and furniture including technical data Maintain vendor relationships and our library with current interior finishes and product literature Proficiency in REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite. Lumion, Enscape, and Bluebeam are beneficial but not required Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail Exceptional oral and written communication skills Ability to engage, collaborate, and problem solve with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members Ability to perform daily duties independently and collaboratively to produce quality work product within structured delivery process
