The Role:La Ligne is looking for a Technical Designer to assist both the Production teams in delivering high quality products (Wovens, Cut & Sew, and Knits) on time.Responsibilities:Collaborate with design, production, and vendors to ensure that product specifications are viable and in accordance with the product designIdentify potential problems with products and follow through to ensure concerns are resolved as scheduledReview and compare tech packs at the SMS, PPS, and bulk stages for accuracy and details, included but not limited to: comparing sample to pattern (wovens), previous sample/production, design/founders' comments & factory callouts in order to prepare for the fitting i.e., Spec'd, Steamed/Ironed *previous/reference sample and pattern readily availableLead fitting for all fit related issues on SMS and PPSHighlight previous fitting comments, factory's notes, workmanship details (if necessary), take notes/photos and finally recap each style fit / design notes during fittingsAfter a fitting partner with production manager to discuss priority - update tech packs, email fit comments and communicate with all vendors making sure all factory questions/concerns are answered quickly to avoid delaysDraft a technical design or construction sketch in Adobe or Excel when required to coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to produce a designIssue graded measures based on grading rules and style specifications, once PP sample is approvedCollaborate with overseas factories on issues regarding grading rulesCollaborate with domestic grading company to make sure that grading rules are in accordance with pattern grading when applicable for domestic productionWork with production assistant to approve TOPs for all above listed categories according to quality control standardsAdd measures to Care Label Chart in Dropbox for external/customer reference, once graded specs are approved Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's Degree5+ years of experience in technical design Proficient in Excel and IllustratorMust have knowledge in fit, pattern making and grading Excellent people skills, ability to motivate and teach leaders to succeedSuperior verbal and written communication skillsExceptional organizational and time management skillsA natural collaborator with strict attention to detailPay Rate: $35-$45 / hour
