You are a Librarian who is responsible for managing library resources, assisting patrons, and ensuring an organized, accessible, and engaging environment for research, reading, and learning. They oversee the acquisition, inventory, and distribution of books and materials while maintaining efficient logistics and shipping processes for interlibrary loans and resource management.

This position pays: $33 - $38

What you will be doing:

• Assist patrons in locating books, research materials, and digital resources.
• Organize and maintain library catalogs, databases, and reference materials.
• Develop and manage library programs, workshops, and events.
• Oversee the borrowing, returning, and interlibrary loan of books and materials.
• Manage library logistics, including inventory tracking, material procurement, and distribution.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of books, media, and archival materials.
• Stay up to date with new publications and recommend acquisitions.
• Provide guidance on research methods, citation styles, and database navigation.
• Enforce library policies and ensure a quiet, welcoming atmosphere.
• Train and supervise library staff or volunteers when necessary.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and educators.
• Utilize library management systems, inventory software, and digital cataloging tools.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) or a related field.
• Experience with inventory management, logistics, and shipping processes.
• Strong knowledge of library classification systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress).
• Proficiency in research techniques, information retrieval, and digital literacy.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with library software, databases, and online research tools.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
