Description
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Senior Creative Manager, assists in conceiving, reviewing, expanding, and evaluating the San Diego State University (SDSU) Bookstore and SDSU Dining's social media presence. Develops, implements and schedules marketing digital content. Must enjoy being in front of, and behind, the camera, talking with strangers to enlist their participation in photo/video initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

- Creates fun and shareable multimedia content promoting products and services.
- Responsible for posting content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik-Tok or any other selected platforms, in addition to the use of a social media management/scheduler such as Hootsuite.
- Engages in social and mobile media; acquires knowledge about newest platforms and trends.
- Create, plan and execute methods to increase traffic and engagement across all branded digital platforms.
- Assist in assembling a monthly analytics report to share with manager and key stakeholders.
- Proficient in using camera phones, digital cameras-for still photography and video.
- Experience with editing photo/video content using any variety of applications such as Lightroom/photoshop/Capcut/ iMovie/Premiere/Canva/YouTube, or similar platforms on mobile and desktop devices.
- Comfortable interacting with students/staff, SDSU sports fans at home games; on campus events as assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring continued compliance with all company policies, procedures and all local, state and federal health, safety and employment laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using a Macintosh or PC operating system, with a strong emphasis in video content and editing. One year of experience using graphic software Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Must be able to handle a diverse workload of assignments in a timely manner with strong attention to detail. Must be able to work independently; demonstrates effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Requires the ability to read and comprehend a variety of informational documentation, procedures and correspondence. Requires the ability to write correspondence with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar. Must be able to communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY:
Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail. Requires good analytical and quantitative skills.
MANUAL DEXTERITY:
Must be able to utilize a computer, camcorders and camera phones. Requires the ability to use a variety of recording devices, office machines and equipment.
PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:
Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds. Physical appearance presented to the public and internal employees must be professional.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to operate computers, copy machines, fax machines, 10-key calculator, and other general office equipment. Extensive use of computers and monitors is required. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision for extensive reading and interviews. Physical demand requirements are at levels for sedentary work. Must be able to use body members to sit, move and lift or carry objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS
Work is regularly performed in a traditional office setting. There may be occasional exposure to airborne particles. This position may work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and allergens, work temperatures and noise. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:
A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd.

Additionally, based on the nature and scope of the position, the background check may also include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses.
