SUMMARY:
This Part-Time position assists in developing a variety of digital, multi-media and social media projects to support the operations of Aztec Shops and San Diego State University.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

Helps develop and assists in determining the most effective way to convey messages through digital media-videography and photography and social media.Follow project plans and timelines as directed.Meets deadline requirements of assigned projects.Uses a variety of digital video/photo equipment and/or mobile devices/tablets. Software programs in Adobe CC-Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Light Room. Illustrator and InDesign skills are also a plus.Incorporates photos, videos and designs in the overall layout and production for promotions, social media, digital signage, and other products and publications.May assist in scheduling photo shoots and selecting diverse models and acquiring the necessary permissions.Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using a Macintosh operating system, and at least one year of experience using graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite) is required. Must be able to handle a diverse workload of assignments in a timely manner with strong attention to detail. Must be able to work independently; demonstrates effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, subordinates, vendors, other departments, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to apply basic math and algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
MANUAL DEXTERITY:
Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment.
PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:
Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demand requirements are at levels for sedentary work. Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, fax machines, and to operate a 10-key calculator. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; handle objects; keypad or papers and books. Employees are occasionally required to stand, walk/move. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 20 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral visions, distance vision, and color vision for extensive reading and interpretation of reports and documents.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS
Work is regularly performed in a traditional office setting. There may be exposure to airborne particles created from incoming boxes and merchandise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:
A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd.
Background checks will include, at minimum, verification of education and employment histories, criminal records, national sex offender registry check, and references. Additionally, based on the nature and scope of the position, the background check may also include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses.
Failure to answer background check questions honestly, and satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the employment status of applicants or continued employment of current Aztec Shops employees who apply for promotional positions which require a background check.
