Our client provides a cloud-based media management platform designed for brands and advertising agencies to streamline their marketing activities. Their solution is a centralized hub for media planning, campaign management, and marketing analytics. The platform allows brands and agencies to plan, organize, and analyze all their marketing and media activities, providing an overview of marketing activities, campaign plans, and yearly summaries.
About the Role
As the Vice President of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client’s marketing strategy and initiatives in North America. You will be a key member of the company’s global marketing team, which is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with responsibility for leading and executing innovative campaigns and activities specifically tailored to the North American market. You will also serve as an active spokesperson for our client’s brand across various platforms and events, and work closely to promote thought leadership. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in SaaS marketing, the media space and a proven track record of executing dynamic marketing campaigns, and the ability to launch creative activities in a fast-paced marketing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a sophisticated US marketing strategy that aligns with our client’s global objectives and enhances their market presence. Ensure that our client finds smart and innovative messages, campaigns, and activities tailored for their target audience.
- Brand Advocacy: Actively represent and promote our client as an engaging spokesperson at industry events, conferences, and through digital channels.
- Founders’ Thought Leadership: Drive thought leadership initiatives by supporting and promoting their participation in speaking engagements, interviews, and high-profile events.
- Event Leadership: Organize and lead events that increase brand visibility and drive lead generation, utilizing your public speaking and moderation skills.
- Performance Analytics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using insights and analytics to refine strategies and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Content, Creatives, and Tools: Oversee the creation and distribution of compelling content, creatives, and tools that resonate with target audiences and support sales efforts.
- PR and Communications: Create compelling content that garners PR attention and generates positive press for our client, ensuring their brand message is cohesive and impactful across all media.
- Partnerships and Events: Identify strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and event opportunities that enhance brand visibility and drive lead generation in the US market.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the North American marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment for all marketing activities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Stockholm-based marketing team, as well as sales, product, and customer success teams, to align marketing efforts with product releases, sales goals, and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing smart marketing strategies that drive growth and achieve business objectives specifically in the US market.
- Strong ability to serve as a dynamic and engaging public spokesperson.
- Experience in driving and supporting thought leadership initiatives for company founders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM tools, and analytics software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and embrace new challenges.
- In-depth understanding of the NA market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
