Overview:
The Florida Everblades Professional Hockey Club and Hertz Arena are seeking a motivated and creative Audio/Visual (A/V) Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in live event production, audio engineering, video editing, and multimedia content creation in a fast-paced professional sports and entertainment environment. The A/V Intern will support game-day operations, concerts, and special events at Hertz Arena, home of the ECHL's Florida Everblades, while gaining valuable skills in the sports and entertainment industry.

Overview:
The Florida Everblades Professional Hockey Club and Hertz Arena are seeking a motivated and creative Audio/Visual (A/V) Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in live event production, audio engineering, video editing, and multimedia content creation in a fast-paced professional sports and entertainment environment. The A/V Intern will support game-day operations, concerts, and special events at Hertz Arena, home of the ECHL's Florida Everblades, while gaining valuable skills in the sports and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio and video equipment for Florida Everblades home games, concerts, and other events at Hertz Arena.
- Operate in-game audio systems, including music playback, sound effects, and live announcements, ensuring a high-quality fan experience.
- Support video production tasks, such as filming game highlights, player interviews, and promotional content.
- Edit and produce video content for in-arena displays, social media, and team marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the production team to execute live broadcasts, replays, and video board content during events.
- Troubleshoot basic A/V technical issues under the guidance of the A/V supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing A/V equipment inventory.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall game-day and event atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in Film, Media Production, Audio Engineering, Communications, or a related field (or recent graduate seeking experience).
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment (e.g., mixers, microphones, cameras, editing software like Adobe Premiere or Audacity).
- Strong interest in sports, live events, or entertainment production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the Florida Everblades game schedule and Hertz Arena event calendar.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Previous experience with A/V equipment or live event production is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in a loud, high-energy environment for extended periods.
