Come join our sleep team located in beautiful Northern MN! If you love everything outdoors, this is the place to be! Sanford Bemidji Sleep Center is a four bed sleep lab and is currently testing 6 nights per week. Our lab is located in the same building as our Sleep Clinic and Sanford Equip (Sleep DME) which allows us to work closely together to serve our patients needs. This position entails working straight nights with potential of moving to some day shifts once you have obtained your RPSGT credential. We look forward to meeting you!
Job Summary
Performs quality diagnostic polysomnographic (PSG), as well as titration, multiple sleep latency (MSLT), and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) will be performed. Records and provides relevant and accurate data to physicians for diagnostic use in the treatment of patients with sleep/wake disorders. What you will do:
Performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations.
Understanding the testing equipment, including it’s structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient and basic maintenance/troubleshooting procedures.
Monitor and document appropriately in medical record per facility guidelines.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and accreditation.
Possess a knowledge and understanding of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.
Educating patients with prescribed therapies and sleep testing and following up as needed.
Acquire the ability to work with all age groups and those with growth and developmental needs of unique client populations.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or Respiratory Technology.
Possess basic knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, with the skill to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for patient care.
Eligible to register with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Will consider eligibility to register with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as well. Possess or obtain registry as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within two years of the date of hire into position.
Working in North Dakota (ND), current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required. Obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEU) each year to maintain licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.
