Responsibilities The client's Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high qualitymedical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa ClaritaValley and surrounding communities. The hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery , an Advanced Primary Stroke Center , cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department . This person isthe expert on issues related to utilization review and dischargeplanning. Requirements: Abilityto read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmentalregulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, andprocedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the generalpublic. Abilityto define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drawconclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety oftechnical/clinical i nstructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Minimum5 years of acute care clinical experience required and minimum of 3years clinical case management/utilization review experience preferred. BSN preferred.
