KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Compass Ministries Communications Manager reports to the Director of Compass and manages all aspects of ministry branding, promotions, and communications. To learn more about this ministry, click on the link: https://www.compasslink.org/.

1. Collaborates with the Compass Director to develop an effective overall ministry Communications plan.
2. Utilizes website, social media, newsletters, and other mediums to communicate Compass Public School Ministries in a way that represents the heart of the ministry.
3. Maintains regular, effective communication with our current database while working creatively to expand our reach.
4. Ensures the Compass Public School Ministries website functions as an excellent resource for information and tools for educators and families. Manage changes/updates.
5. Takes the lead on promoting Compass Public School Ministries events.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:

1. Experience required: 2 years+ of experience in Communications, Marketing or comparable position.
2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
3. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
4. High level of organization required.
5. A strong knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and nuances of the English language.
6. Detail oriented, can see work through from concept to completion.
7. Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
8. Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
9. Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
