Designated Authorizing Official (DAO) Support/ Data Scientist II

Responsibilities:

1. Seeking a highly organized and proactive DAO Support professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst, specializing in information system authorization within the DoD framework.
2. Strong verbal and writing skills with the ability to communicate and coordinate with senior personnel within the Air Force Intelligence Community (AFIC) and the broader Intelligence Community (IC).
3. Possessing a strong understanding of cybersecurity policies and procedures, FISMA compliance requirements, and experience developing cybersecurity programs and plans.
4. Solid understanding of the NIST 800 Risk Management Framework (RMF) specifically including the NIST 800 series 800-37 Rev 2, 800-53 Rev. 5, assessment methodologies, and proficiency in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
5. Experience with Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), plan of action and milestones (POA&Ms), assessment and authorization (A&A) workflow tools data, patch management, IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), Memorandums, Interim Authorization To Test (IATT) and Authority To Operate (ATO).
6. Serve as a primary point of contact for DAOs, assisting in managing their schedules, prioritizing tasks, and filtering communications to ensure efficient workflow and that critical items are not missed.
7. Gather supporting information and communicate to management along with recommendations for remediation.
8. Proficient with Air Force Intelligence Community Tools and processes.
9. Experience or familiarity with Xacta or eMASS for NIST 800 RMF.

Education & Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience.

Certification(s): Required DoD 8570/DoDM 8140.03 cyber certifications, IAT 2 preferred, IAM1 acceptable.

Security Clearance: Must possess current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
