Role Description
This is a W2 remote/Hybrid role for a Principal Product Designer at Artykula. The Principal Product Designer will create visual designs, utilize design thinking, and conduct user research, product design, and UX research to develop impactful and user-centered products.
- Lead the Design Team: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to the design team to ensure the highest quality design output across all projects.
- Collaborate with Frontend Development: Work closely with frontend engineers to translate designs into seamless, responsive, and visually stunning web experiences.
- Drive End-to-End Product Design: Apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive, impactful digital experiences from concept to execution across web and mobile platforms.
- Effectively Communicate Design Concepts: Present design strategies, user flows, and prototypes to stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.
- Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive, integrated solutions.
- Shape the Design Vision: Lead the development of design guidelines, frameworks, and best practices that elevate the brand and improve user experiences across projects.
- Problem-Solve & Prioritize: Tackle complex design challenges with a strategic mindset, turning ambiguity into clear, actionable plans while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 5 years of work experience working with executive leaders.
- Experience and a deep understanding of frontend technologies to seamlessly collaborate with engineering teams.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of San Francisco, New York, Seattle is: $182,000—$251,000 USD (Will be based on the employee's location)
