Main Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, performant, and maintainable front-end architecture using React and TypeScript
- Translate complex UI/UX designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect, and reusable components
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction and user experience
- Drive best practices for accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
- Establish and maintain a robust front-end codebase, enforcing clean code principles and design patterns
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
- Proactively identify technical challenges and propose solutions to enhance the front-end ecosystem
- Evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve development workflows
- Conduct code reviews, ensure high code quality, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s technical skills
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and production issues
- Work a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in our Redwood City HQ or the SF office
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with extensive experience in React and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of HTML5, and CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind)
- Strong experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, React Context API)
- Detailed understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating them into front-end applications
- Expertise in responsive design, adaptive design, and accessibility standards
- Experience with performance optimization for web applications
- Strong experience with front-end testing frameworks - Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership skills and experience mentoring and guiding team members
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions that align with business goals
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Ability to prototype and iterate quickly around sophisticated user workflows
- Experience with design systems and building reusable component libraries
- Knowledge of server-side rendering frameworks (e.g., Next.js)
