Key Responsibilities
- Establish and cultivate robust relationships with retail insurance agents to drive new business through strategic sales and marketing efforts.
- Maintain and develop connections with our in-house binding and brokerage markets.
- Utilize creativity and analytical skills to evaluate accounts and negotiate advantageous terms.
- Oversee accounts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective management and timely service responses through collaboration with support teams.
- Exhibit a consistently professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Participate in company-approved conferences, seminars, and educational events to keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a wholesale broker/MGA or carrier, with a preference for specialization in excess & surplus lines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills paired with a genuine desire to build and maintain relationships.
- A proactive, self-driven, and results-focused mindset, thriving within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong foundational knowledge of property and casualty insurance, including relevant coverages, ratings, terminology, and technical procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and other Windows-based applications.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new software and applications.
- A valid Property & Casualty license is required; an Excess & Surplus license is preferred but not mandatory.
