Title: Intern – Music Publishing (In Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-Site)
The Role:
Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about the live entertainment and music industries. This internship will allow students to gain first-hand, experience in music publishing - the creation, management, and monetization of songs and the creatives who write and record them.
Areas that you will be learning about as a Publishing Intern:
Song registration and file organization
Coordinating songwriter sessions
Handling songwriter travel budgets
Searching for new talent with weekly reports to the department
Relationship building with other departments within Roc Nation, as well as, Roc Nation Publishing’s administrator
Publishing company organization and meeting preparation
Qualifications:
Must be current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university for the duration of the internship
Must have a strong passion for music and stay up to date with the latest trends and top charting music
Interest in learning new web related technologies and software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Documents
Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Familiarity with social networking sites desired. TikTok and Instagram are a must
Familiarity with Keynote/PowerPoint
This internship is available for the Fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot is a mandatory requirement for this position.
