Job Description
The Audio Systems Manager role at Sound Investment ensures that all components of the Audio Department are operating in unison to meet and maintain a high level of service to SI’s clients. This role also manages the correct implementation and training of Sound Vision or other company-approved software standards. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in a Live Sound Leadership Role
- Comprehensive and undeniable effectiveness on all facets of audio event production
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for all audio and audio rigging systems oversight, design, implementation, and management company-wide
- Review all audio implementations company-wide and either approve or correct as needed
- Solely responsible for audio department hiring in the warehouse and field, including full-time staff and freelance
- Actively onboard, mentor, and train new hires and existing staff
- Responsible for all audio tech scheduling, skills assessment, development, and disciplinary actions up to termination
- Manage the audio department’s company PTO and sick time according to company standards
- Work with sub-rent vendors to achieve the best pricing and assist the project management team with equipment hire practices
- Review and ensure the accuracy of the audio inventory system, implement proper maintenance, provide ROI on inventory, and assist with departmental expenditures
- Attend events to ensure company standards are met and to capitalize on training and mentoring opportunities
- Project manage events as needed
Desired Skills & Experience
- Self-starter capable of thriving in both corporate and start-up environments
- Equipment and personnel management experience
- Specialization in Corporate AV Live Sound
- Proven effectiveness across all facets of audio event production
Compensation
