Professional Writing Tutors
Assist undergraduate and graduate Suffolk students who need writing/English language support in one-on-one appointments. Tutors may also lead English language workshops and participate in drop-in writing tutoring as needed.

- Perform various academic support tasks during open appointment blocks, based on skills and interests, as assigned by CLAS management.
- Attend training on topics related to assisting college students with writing or English language, and meet with program supervisors to discuss other issues.
- Write notes for all student sessions in the appointment tracking system (EAB Navigate).
Requirements/Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in English, Composition/Rhetoric, or a related field.
- TESOL (or equivalent) certification or experience teaching emerging multilingual students. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in person on Suffolk’s downtown Boston campus.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Creativity and flexibility in tutoring approaches.
- Experience with EAB Navigate, TutorTrac, WCOnline, or other appointment management platforms is a plus.
