JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you curious about how the human foot works? So are we!
Lower Extremity Review (lermagazine.com), a 32-page monthly medical magazine for clinical specialists who deal with human mobility, is seeking a new Editor. We’re looking for a passionate content creator with a knack for telling complex stories to podiatrists, sports medicine specialists & athletic trainers, orthopedists, physical & occupational therapists, orthotists & prosthetists, pedorthists, and wound care providers. We’re an online publication and an online educational resource and we need someone who can put together each issue using excerpted event content, original submissions, select abstracts from the published literature, and clear, concise writing for a medical/technical audience. Editorial content is focused on biomechanics in clinical practice, preventive measures, conservative & surgical therapies, and collaboration amongst the healthcare team.
This position is virtual, allowing you to set your own schedule, but weekly content deliverables are required. The ideal candidate is US-based. Some (pre-planned) travel is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent interview & written communication skills working with medical/technical content and authors.

- Proven creativity in article selection/development, writing, and editing. Understanding of magazine production preferred.
- Proven ability to meet weekly deadlines while working remotely, and carry your share as part of a 4-person overall team.
