Description
This individual will support the Peer Health Educators program and Prevention & Health Promotion unit, which provides education on wellness topics such as alcohol, other drugs, mental health, sexual assault prevention, and more. This position will provide support for unit functioning regarding office management, health promotion projects, research, marketing, and general administrative tasks for the Assistant Director
Examples of Duties
- Supports Prevention & Health Promotion events by creating materials, gathering materials, and assisting where needed
- Review current research files and/or webinars and summarize findings to integrate into our offerings
- Maintain the Free Resource Area in the PHP office by restocking supplies, updating the bulletin board, posting questions of the week, etc
- Track inventory of outreach supplies and restock items as needed
- Determine available marketing avenues for campus departments and promote marketing in these places through flyering, submitting requests, etc
- Determine budget opportunities with PHP's current funding source and report relevant uses to the AD
- Research grant opportunities to create paid opportunities for Peer Health Educators and more outreach capabilities for the PHP unit
- Review compliance requirements for our scope and determine what is needed to meet compliance
- Oversee the Menstrual Products Project by maintaining inventor, restocking products on campus, and tracking distribution of products
- Attend weekly meetings with the Assistant Director for progress updates, goal support, and feedback for improvement
- Complete an end of year performance evaluation with the Assistant Director for feedback purposes
Minimum Qualifications
- Federal Work Study Eligible New College of Florida student
- Timely, effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to accomplish tasks independently
- Familiar with health promotion
- Experienced presenter
- Experience working with Qualtrics, Instagram, Canva, Google Suites, Microsoft Office Suite
- Leadership experience
- Evening and/or weekend availability
