https://www.lsijax.com/careers/General SummaryThe Graphic Specialist III develops training courseware products by creating two- and three-dimension graphics and animation from photographs, video, script and/or storyboards utilizing graphics software. This position requires advanced technical skills and may have collateral duties as Lead Artist on a production team.Essential Job FunctionsCreates two/three-dimensional computer graphics which artistically represent materials used in support of training courseware.Creates materials for interactive technologies (computer-based training), interactive courseware, web-based training, and distance learning training. Utilizes both Company developed as well as commercial software products.Assists in the creative planning and development of storyboards through cooperation with Subject Matter Experts, and other design team members.Interacts with Subject Matter Experts, Instructional Designers, Courseware Developers, and Application Developers as part of a courseware production team.Uses advanced design skills and artistic creativity to implement two- or three-dimensional animation in support of training objectives.Designs and develops engineering and technical drawings and schematics in support of training objectives.May act as Lead Artist on a production team.May participate in meetings with customers by answering questions or making presentations.Understands and adheres to art standards established for each project by coordinating color schemes for screen layout and design of elements.Must be capable of safely handling government-furnished equipment and materials.Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust possess advanced technical skills in utilizing interactive 2D or 3D graphics and animation software, including Autodesk 3D Studio Max/Maya, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including but not limited to i.e., Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Animate CC.Preferred knowledge building model assets in low/high poly environments for gaming engine development.Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field plus six (6) years of professional experience, orAssociate degree plus eight (8) years of experience, orHigh school diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of experience.
