Overview
The applicant shall perform for all regularly scheduled worship services, praise team rehearsals, and additional services as requested.
- Support and assist the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee in selecting appropriate music and audio/visual requirements.
- Work closely with the pastoral team in determining worship style and song selection.
- The applicant shall create song slides for worship service. Song slides are to be turned into the Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee weekly at a predetermined time.
- The applicant shall conduct and lead weekly praise team rehearsals.
- The applicant shall continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service.
- The applicant shall ensure that all facilities and musical equipment are properly secured after use.
- The applicant must maintain model decorum with special attention to dress and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate for religious services and programs.
Qualifications:
- Must believe and adhere to the basic tenets of the Protestant Christian faith.
- Ability to play a musical instrument and lead worship simultaneously.
- The applicant should have a basic understanding of military protocol and possess the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Education/Experience:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a church and/or chapel program directing and leading contemporary or blended worship.
