Job Description - Summary

Make announcements before, during, and after athletic events. Provide information to visitors regarding campus policies and regulations. Introduce student-athletes. Make any necessary announcements during games.

* Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to qualify for the FWS Program. This is a part-time opportunity. Students may work up to 15 hours per week, depending on their unmet need on their FAFSA.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Federal Work Study is federally funded need-based aid to assist students with college costs. This listing is for students attending Surry Community College during the 2025-2026 academic year with need determined by the federal government. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with developing and gathering information for announcements before, during, and after athletic events. Select and play music before and during games.

General Qualifications

Ability to read scripts and pronounce names for lineups. Ability to operate PA equipment (microphone, etc.).

Required Qualifications

Ability to speak clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

Upbeat and outgoing personality traits.

None.

Location: On Campus, $14.00 per hour.
