Overview
The Communications and Development Coordinator will play a key role in advancing the mission of Quality 360 Healthcare Alliance by supporting all aspects of our fundraising and communications efforts. This position focuses on developing and implementing strategies to increase funding through grants, individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and resourceful communicator with a passion for nonprofit work and a proven track record in development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising and Development:
- Assist in the creation and execution of the annual fundraising plan.
- Identify, research, and cultivate potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Coordinate and support grant writing efforts, including researching grant opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage a donor recognition program to ensure ongoing donor engagement and appreciation.
- Communications:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support fundraising efforts and promote the organization's mission.
- Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, the website, press releases, and other communication channels.
- Coordinate and manage the production of marketing materials, including brochures, annual reports, and other collateral.
- Work closely with program staff to gather stories and data that highlight the impact of our work and resonate with donors and supporters.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, building media lists, and coordinating media coverage for events and announcements.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Assist with planning and executing fundraisers.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, guest lists, and volunteer management.
- Develop event marketing materials and coordinate promotional efforts to maximize attendance and donor engagement.
- Track and analyze event performance, providing recommendations for improvement and growth.
- Collaborative Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Mental Health and other team members to align fundraising and communications strategies with organizational goals.
- Participate in team meetings, providing updates on development activities and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives and projects as needed
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or Public Administration)
•Minimum of two years of experience in grant writing and funding, preferably in the nonprofit sector
•Proven track record of securing funding from a variety of sources
•Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
•Strong research and analytical skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices
