FMP Consulting is currently seeking a Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist:
The work will include: Consulting with stakeholders using human centered design approaches to understand the need for data products and to identify a potential solution Experience using data visualization principles, including pre-attentive attributes, Gestalt principles, and appropriate chart selection, to develop intuitive dashboards and reports that help people make better decisions Communicating research results to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate data visualization, written, and oral communication Translating customer requirements for data products into technical specifications Developing data structures (datasets, dataflows) for use in Power BI reporting Conducting performance testing and tuning to ensure reports run optimally Developing custom reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI Providing direct customer support, including training, in accessing, using, and interpreting HR data Creating training and knowledge sharing resources to educate customer agencies on the value and use of data Qualifications
Experience required:
5-7 years of experience engaged in business intelligence projects as a report developer/analyst with significant experience using Power BI Experience using data visualization principles, including pre-attentive attributes, Gestalt principles, and appropriate chart selection, to develop intuitive dashboards and reports that help people make better decisions Experience using human-centered design approaches to understand user needs and behavior Experience with SQL Experience working in an Agile environment - working as a part of a team to iteratively develop and deliver data products Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (orally and in written form) Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational barriers to accomplish high priority and high visibility goals US citizen
