Washington Monthly Magazine ranks FIU among the top 20 public universities contributing to the public good.Job SummaryThe Department of Student Media in the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) is currently seeking a student radio station General Manager to join their team of professionals.Duties include:Sets the vision for the student-run radio station.Hires and manages a staff for The Roar.Ensures the student radio station is broadcasting to the FIU community non-stop on 88.1-FM, 95.3-FM and 96.9-FM.Works hand in hand with the Editor in Chief to ensure The Roar staff uploads fresh content on PantherNOW.com.Serves as a leader and representative of Student Media, specifically The Roar.Minimum QualificationsStrong communication skillsKnowledgeable in technology programs and software relating to radio broadcasting.Management and team leadership skillsExcellent communication skills and responds to messages in a timely manner.Radio experience is preferable.Some knowledge of music, genres, trends, etc.Job Category:
