Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
If you are an innovative professional with an exceptional grasp of visual storytelling and a passion for utilizing video, photography, motion graphics, and audio to engage audiences and provide vital information, the Television Specialist position in the CalPERS Video and Live Event Communications team could be an exciting opportunity for you.
The Television Specialist’s role involves creating various forms of multimedia content, such as videos, motion graphics, photography, on-location and virtual live event programs. The main purpose is to enhance communication and reach a diverse audience, including CalPERS employees, members, stakeholders, and business partners. It’s essential we cater to a broad range of viewers, including persons with disabilities, and ensure inclusive and accessible content.

Working Conditions
- This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA - Headquarters at least three weekdays.
- On-location and field environment.
- Live event venues i.e., hotels, convention centers.
- Travel may be required.

Statement of Qualifications
Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager’s review. Applications received without an SOQ or those that do not respond to the specific questions below will not be considered.
- Describe your experience leading a video project, independently and collaboratively, through all three phases of production: pre-production, production, and post-production. Provide in-depth details about your process to successfully deliver a completed video.
- Share your experience using creative storytelling techniques (Motion graphics, animation, etc…) in a video to visually communicate messaging to a wide audience.
- Describe your experience with multi-camera live event production (board meetings, off-site conferences, etc.). Explain the roles you performed and equipment used for the events.
