an exciting and dynamic global function which plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing of medicines for patients around the world as part of AbbVies Global Operations organization We are looking for an experienced passionate communications leader to join a network of four regional communicators across our Global Operations Communications team. The Regional Communications Lead will play a key role in shaping and delivering internal and external communication strategies for a specific region within the ME&C network. The successful candidate will report to Director of ME&C Communications and will support the ME&C Regional Vice President partner with relevant site leaders and their teams and collaborate with Global Operations Communications colleagues and the extended communicator network to drive bestinclass communications activities that enable AbbVies success. Responsibilities: Provide strategic communications leadership support and counsel to the ME&C VP of the region
including to the sites within the region. Develop and implement regional communication strategies aligned with the global ME&C strategy and anchored in Operations goals and objectives. Work closely with senior leaders to ensure communication strategies support business objectives. Tailor global initiatives to suit regional needs and audiences. Serve as the regional spokesperson handling media inquiries interviews and press engagements. Monitor media coverage and report on regional communication metrics. Oversee and manage internal communications within the region ensuring alignment with the global messaging. Craft internal communications materials announcements and updates to keep employees informed about key developments. Act as the regional point of contact for crisis communications working closely with the global communications team to manage and mitigate crises. Create and localize content for various communication channels including social media newsletters websites and press materials. Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
Qualifications : Bachelors degree in communications Public Relations Journalism Marketing or a related field. 10 years experience in a similar role. Fluency in English (verbal and written) is a must; Spanish language skills would be a beneficial addition. Experience with content management platforms and design tools as well as working with external developers and vendors. Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience with crisis communication and media training. Strong communication skills
written and verbal with exceptional attention to detail. Confident operating in an international context. Ability to think strategically and creatively. Detailoriented with a keen eye for design. Strong project management and multitasking abilities managing multiple often tight deadlines. The role will require travel within the region to attend meetings events and media engagements.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
