The Retail Visual Merchandiser will develop the VM strategy, planning and activation for all Clarks Americas full price and outlet locations, working collaboratively with regional stakeholders for alignment. This role will create consistent, compelling in-store merchandising specific to format definitions that attract and engage consumers. The Visual Merchandiser will deliver window signage and interior graphics that are aligned to Global seasonal direction and also achieve regional marketing and business objectives.
A primary objective for this role is to elevate the store experience and maintain Clarks' premium proposition. As the regional expert of the in-store environment and visual storytelling, this role will work cross functionally to establish and maintain Clarks overall visual expression of the brand at retail.
Role will also be responsible for supporting the Manager of Retail Marketing with general needs for retail which may include special product launches, supporting budget tracking, traffic driving/events, etc.
What You'll Do
Execute seasonal VM plans that align with the regional strategy and deliver key product storytelling moments. Partner with merchandising and planning teams to develop retail go-to-market strategy and implementation. Develop clear and effective Merchandising Directives and Plan-o-grams for store teams to seamlessly execute merchandising and marketing strategies. Deliver creative solutions and innovative visual storytelling for all key product marketing stories. Provide design input and manage all design aspects, including development, floorplan layouts, product styling and the creation of 3D elements. Lead and support new ideas and initiatives to consistently evolve and grow the brand and drive best-in-class experiences for the customer. Stay current with the latest fashion, environment, and interior trends. Collaborate on and lead regional visual strategies for all product marketing stories to ensure in-store execution is on brand. Develop and execute seasonal window campaigns and interior graphics to align with global window strategy. Work collaboratively with Retail marketing manager to ensure cohesive storytelling from traffic driving to the in-store experience. Format field team VM training guidelines and best practices for execution excellence & elevated merchandising by store format and climate. Partner with Global Retail team to develop VM strategy for new store concepts and influence global store guidelines to meet the needs of the Americas stores. Support Retail Store development team with visuals for new stores and remodels Co-manage retail marketing budget, balancing brand and business initiatives Work collaboratively with retail store ops and field teams to ensure consistency across the chain As the regional Visual Merchandising expert, give guidance and support to Americas Marketing team as it relates to in-store design and signage for key wholesale accounts and retail third party retail locations in LATAM and Canada. Work with the Retail Marketing Manager to support key seasonal and regional launches, key collabs, in-store events and general traffic driving as needed. What You'll Bring
3 - 5 years of Visual Merchandising experience: Company Owned, Specialty and Department Store Retail Experience Preferred. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Visual Design or Marketing. Computer Skills - Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs. Strong organizational and process skillset. Ability to share large amounts of information in an organized and engaging way. High level of Creativity (must be able to communicate, sketch, etc.). Strong Presentation skills (internal and external teams and sr. management). Ability to direct and lead individuals that do not report directly in. Strong influencer. Ability to travel 15+%. Position requires some night and weekend travel/work Demonstrated success in visual merchandising roles, working closely with merchandising and marketing teams Ability to translate global visual merchandising strategy into region. Full understanding and translation of brand strategy and seasonal marketing planning. Experience in key distribution channels - wholesale, retail, franchise and a working knowledge of ecommerce. Strong relationship and collaboration across multiple departments and levels. Comprehensive understanding of overall retail business operations. Adaptability and ability to efficiently multi-task and meet deadlines thoughtfully in a fast-paced environment. Practical understanding of trading and marketing planning processes.
