The Marketing Director is responsible for guiding the operational flow of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution while fostering collaboration across departments. This role also serves as a key liaison between the marketing team and Bethany's departments, owning the flow of digital strategy from planning to implementation, ensuring projects align with national campaigns, Bethany’s strategic vision, and broader organizational goals. The Marketing Director works cross-functionally with Marketing and Communication VPs, Regional VPs, and program leaders to maintain a cohesive and integrated marketing approach. By fostering collaboration, streamlining processes, and ensuring marketing strategies are data-driven and impactful, the Marketing Director plays a vital role in advancing Bethany’s mission and strengthening its outreach to children and families. This position is expected to function effectively with limited supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the operational flow of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution while fostering collaboration across departments; Develop and refine intake systems, workflows, and team collaboration structures to improve efficiency and execution; Manage, lead and train the Marketing Managers, equipping them with knowledge, tools, and training needed to execute projects effectively and the team’s ability to deliver results; Analyze performance data, tracks conversions at the branch level, and provides insights to internal leaders and Regional VPs to optimize impact; Serve as a key liaison between the marketing team and HQ departments, specifically partnering with Resource Family Recruitment, HR, and Mass Donor Engagement to ensure marketing strategies effectively support organizational priorities; Collaborate with Resource Family Recruitment to drive awareness and engagement, works closely with HR to support staffing and internal communications needs, and aligns marketing efforts with Mass Donor Engagement strategies to maximize donor outreach and retention; Develop quarterly and yearly marketing plans designed to increase awareness and growth at branch level; Develop Marketing Manager team processes to measure success of projects, deadlines, completion, success ranking; Publish campaign plans, consolidated calendars, and manage budgets; Develop and implement pipeline acceleration programs jointly with branch directors; Work with Marketing Managers and Digital Marketing to optimize net new acquisition marketing programs across online properties, web, paid social, email, and events; Responsible for analyzing data and reporting branch lead management and analysis; Engage with assigned partners to drive campaign adoption and joint marketing at the branches; Forecast, measure, analyze and report on impact of Marketing Manager processes; Proactively engage with the direct and indirect teams (donor, client, staff) to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of global, regional and local marketing activities; Evaluate, select and manage vendors that contribute to local demand creation programs including events venues and services; Owning local branch Project Requests process and how those are reviewed as they feed into the overarching MarCom strategy, and lead the expertise to BDs on overarching strategies; Supervise and provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to three Marketing Managers who partner with branches to manage and drive their marketing efforts; Ensure the strategies carried out are meeting KPIs, monitoring areas that are not performing, and providing quick resets to drive the best impact. Owning ROI and devising a plan to be the end-to-end with followed up lead conversions; Work with Marketing Managers and Branch Directors to devise cohesive plans for Events and fundraising efforts; Ensure regional marketing managers are providing high quality service and marketing support to branches; Ensure local marketing efforts and campaigns are consistent across the organization; Strategic support to the Vice President of Marketing to provide additional insight and support as well as represent the marketing team as needed; Provide marketing support on branch and/or major program closings; Establish and lead efforts to achieve yearly strategic goals focused on improving the quality and effectiveness of the Marketing Department’s efforts; Collaborate with other directors on team long term strategy, team culture, and health; Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's level degree in Marketing, Communications or related field of study from an accredited college; Master's level degree preferred; At least five (5) years of progressive director level experience in Marketing or related field; At least five (5) years of experience leading a team of professionals; Experience in strategic decision making, various marketing and communication methodologies, digital marketing, system design, graphic design, and advertising; Experience in child/family welfare agency, a plus; Proven experience working in an evolving environment, while building the appropriate marketing infrastructure; Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively lead others through change, motivate, inspire trust, and live out Bethany values; Proven experience with developing a relevant digital strategy that leverages digital platforms that delivers a pleasant consumer experience and builds the brand; Experience with cultivating positive vendor relationships and negotiating contracts; Understanding of managing a department budget and forecasting expenses; Strong attention to detail and highly organized with prior project management experience; Must be creative and inspiring with work product; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks; Exercise a high level of confidentiality and integrity; Work well under pressure and adaptable to change; Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany; Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage; Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
