A prestigious law firm based in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced Insurance Bad Faith Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling insurance bad faith and coverage disputes, with a passion for advocating on behalf of clients wronged by insurers. Duties: Manage and oversee insurance bad faith and coverage dispute cases from inception to final resolution. Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and preparing for trial. Perform extensive legal research and draft motions, including dispositive motions and motions to compel. Take and defend depositions, particularly of key witnesses and insurance representatives. Lead client advocacy efforts in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings. Review insurance policies and coverage issues to develop strategic approaches for case resolution. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Active license to practice law in California. 5-10 years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance bad faith, coverage disputes, or general insurance litigation. Strong expertise in drafting motions and conducting legal research. Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions. Prior experience at a defense firm specializing in insurance litigation is a plus. Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with a legal team. Willingness to travel as required for depositions, court appearances, and case-related work. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active Bar membership in California. Skills: Expertise in insurance bad faith litigation and coverage disputes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in legal research and motion writing. Ability to handle complex cases independently and as part of a team. Excellent negotiation and client management skills.
