Description
Priority OnDemand is seeking a Communications Specialist/Multimedia Designer to join its Marketing & Communications team. This talented individual will help support the marketing and business development efforts for the Priority OnDemand family of companies. Priority OnDemand is a public safety healthcare solutions company. Our family of companies includes Priority Ambulance, the country’s fastest-growing national ambulance company; OnDemand Connect, providing hospital logistics, OnDemand Visit, specializing in virtual care; and our manufacturing division, OnDemand Specialty Vehicles.
We’re seeking a motivated self-starter who is eager to work as part of a small, integrated team on varied projects and quickly gain experience in a rapidly growing company. Experience in health care or EMS communications, marketing, or business development is preferred, but isn’t as essential as the ability and desire to understand the unique challenges of the EMS industry and be an active team participant in developing and executing marketing and communications solutions.
The Communications Specialist / Multimedia Designer will work with our lead Graphic Designer to create materials that visually communicate the company’s mission and vision.

Also note that our company has a national footprint, with meetings and deadlines occurring within varying time zones.
Qualifications
Required Skills
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent listening, problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills. This position requires a person who is results-oriented, detailed oriented, customer service oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative environment.
Proficiencies needed: typography, branding, color theory, composition, illustration, and photography. The successful candidate will be able to translate written/verbal concepts and ideas into clear and impactful visual design products.
Required Software Skills
- Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, InCopy, Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
- Power Point
- Microsoft 365
- (Desired) – experience with Mapline
- (Desired) – experience with Word Press (Avada Theme)
- Excellent project organizational skills including adhering to best practices in project file management.
- Ability to determine objectives, manage priorities, and produce deliverables within given deadlines. Ability to multitask, handling several projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- An understanding of the creative ideation process to identify audiences and intentions and carry a creative brief through into final deliverables.
- Willingness to continue the expansion and development of your skillset.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish rapport quickly with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to deal with short deadlines.
As a small creative team, we utilize all our members’ extended skill sets. Ongoing skills development is encouraged and supported. The following skills are not required but are viewed as desirable.
- Photography: Ability to shoot in a creative and artistically compelling manner is highly desirable.
- Animation: Ability to create motion graphic animations for video, web and digital signage with proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Animate is desirable.
- Videography and Audio: Ability to use a DSLR camera to capture footage for promotional videos, record interviews and B-Roll is beneficial.
- Video Editing: Ability to edit video and audio to create professional short-format videos with proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition is beneficial.
- Experience working as a graphic designer and illustrator is required. Applicants should submit an online portfolio to demonstrate their ability. There will be a skills assessment during the recruitment process.
- Two or more years of experience in professional graphic design. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline.
