Our US Marketing organization is a key partner in our distribution efforts, working alongside our sales and strategic account teams to best align our capabilities with client needs. We are seeking a Strategic Relationship Marketing Manager responsible for developing and executing the US wealth marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate for the Strategic Relationship Marketing Manager role is a proactive and autonomous professional with a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies. They should possess strong collaboration skills to effectively partner with distribution teams and key client firms, ensuring alignment and strategic goal achievement. Additionally, they must have a data-driven mindset to continually evaluate and improve marketing initiatives.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Strategic Relationship Marketing Manager?
Developing and executing a strategic marketing plan:
Partner closely with the Strategic Relationship Marketing Director to create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Franklin Templeton's wealth business, that is consistent with the priorities across strategic account and sales leadership. Make independent marketing decisions, functioning as a dedicated marketing account manager for specific external client firms, tailoring approach and decisions based on alignment with their leader, distribution partners, and specific client needs. Support the implementation of this strategy via defined engagement, including: content development, email campaigns, digital assets, web personalization, multi-media, events, sponsorships, digital advertising and social media. A focus on collaboration and relationship management:
Establish and maintain close relationships across our partner firms' marketing and sales organizations, uncovering opportunities to execute custom engagement strategies and joint campaigns. Work in tandem with sales and strategic account colleagues to create the right messages and content, with ongoing connectivity as to how resources are being used, what needs to change and how we can continue to evolve. Manage complex multi-firm partnerships, resolving conflicts and aligning goals strategically to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts. Collaborate with colleagues across the Franklin Templeton global and regional marketing and operations organization (particularly client marketing, integrated marketing, marketing operations, creative services, social media and compliance) to ensure effective coordination of marketing efforts. Support of expanded availability:
As new placements become available and new selling agreements are made, work in close partnership with sales, strategic accounts and our partner firms to establish key deliverables to aid in promotion. Proactively identify challenges or gaps in marketing plans and create innovative solutions to address them, ensuring the team remains agile and responsive to the evolving needs of the business and its partners. Continually share insights with our partner firms on promotional efforts Campaign and Content Development and Execution:
Identify opportunities to grow the business through marketing-led initiatives that engage a target audience through lead nurturing. Develop and execute product and thematic campaigns supportive of key priorities. Create content, as needed, including emails, collateral and digital assets. Employ a data-driven approach for all marketing campaigns and share actionable insights with our sales partners. What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years' experience in financial services industry, preferably in sales or marketing Series 7 and 63 desired. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Problem-Solving and Innovation - Proactive in identifying challenges, anticipating needs, and creating solutions to drive marketing effectiveness. particularly in wealth management or financial services. Proactive approach to work with ability to anticipate needs. Strong Collaboration Skills - Experience working with sales, strategic accounts, and external partners to align and achieve business objectives. A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects/deliverables. Proficiency at prioritization and ability to work under, and meet, tight deadlines. Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $122,000 - $143,600.
