We are seeking candidates who desire a role in leading and managing a team.Attorneys in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions practice advise businesses ranging from startups to top Fortune 500 companies in the retail, entertainment, gaming, software, internet, food and beverage, and advertising industries. They help brands plan for and execute advertising, marketing, and promotional campaigns that comply with complex and rapidly-changing state, federal, and international laws. They also defend companies accused by consumers, competitors, and regulatory agencies of violating these laws.The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in various areas of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions, such as:Drafting and negotiating ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements;Reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issues;Counseling on contest and sweepstakes compliance;Counseling on price advertising and recurring subscription programs;Advice on loyalty/rewards programs.While not required, experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work would be welcome.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a group are important characteristics.Successful candidates will have excellent academic credentials and outstanding legal writing and communication skills. Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is also preferred but not required.Although they will consider a fully remote working arrangement for this role, a hybrid working environment is preferred. Visits to the Seattle office will be required and admission to the WA bar is preferred but not required. Candidates interested in being in the Pacific Northwest are preferred but not required. Please understand that a remote arrangement may not be available in all states and the specific remote work location is subject to approval by Client.
