Round Rock Studio is a podcast and production facility housed in a 2,800 sq/ft studio space in Round Rock, Texas. We film and produce podcasts for multiple clients every week, handling all technical aspects so our clients can focus purely on their creative vision. We’re looking to add a technical director and video editor to our team who can manage podcast productions from behind the switcher to the final edit.
Hours: 20 hours/week
Schedule: 3-5 podcast episodes per week, mix of in-studio and virtual sessions
Base pay range
$15.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Required Skills:
- Podcast Production Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage podcast production workflow, from setup to final delivery. Experience with both audio and video podcast formats is essential.
- DaVinci Resolve Proficiency: Strong video editing skills in DaVinci Resolve, including color correction, multi-camera editing, and audio mixing capabilities.
- Graphic Design Skills: Experience creating eye-catching YouTube thumbnails and social media graphics using Canva. Understanding of branding and visual storytelling is a plus.
- Live Switching Expertise: Comfortable operating video switchers for multi-camera productions, managing transitions, and handling live production decisions.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to set up and troubleshoot studio equipment including cameras, microphones, switchers, and various cables. Should be comfortable in a technical environment and able to solve problems independently.
Job Duties:
- Production Management: Take ownership of podcast productions from initial setup through final delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent quality.
- Studio Operations: Confidently operate our professional studio equipment, including camera systems, audio interfaces, and lighting.
- Post-Production: Handle all aspects of editing, including cutting multiple camera angles, balancing audio, and preparing final files for various platforms.
- Content Creation: Design and create accompanying visual content for podcasts, including thumbnails, social media graphics, and promotional materials.
