General Responsibilities Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Mobile Service Branch Manager, performs a variety of duties within the Mobile Service Department and takes the Library experience into the community. Essential Functions
- Provides a consistently high level of service to others by assisting with requests or locating appropriate resources for the request - Operates library vehicles to deliver library services - Plans, prepares, and presents quality programs, such as story times, reading programs, book talks, book discussion groups, job skills and technology classes, and informative presentations on library services - Researches and locates materials through reference tools such as online databases and reader's advisory services to order materials using circulation and ILL - Provides technology assistance (including downloadable media) and trouble-shooting - Keeps documentation of mobile services provided, relevant statistics, and records of circulation and maintenance of the vehicle - Assists Mobile Services Branch Manager in the analysis and determination of service points and staffing patterns - Provides mobile computer classes, story times, and teen programming, and life-long learning opportunities to promote crucial literacies - Responsible for program scheduling as needed - Creates displays and makes suggestions for interactive learning and development activities - Represents the library in a positive, enthusiastic manner - Develops contacts and organizes new Mobile Service programs and services - Publicizes library events and services in conjunction with the Communication and other departments - Assists in the selection, maintenance, and distribution of resources to Mobile Service visitors - Schedules and coordinates Mobile Service locations as needed - Works throughout the North Little Rock Public Library system as needed - Maintains confidentiality of customers and their personal information - Works collaboratively across departments to conduct joint programming - Attends meetings and acts as library liaison on committees and organizations that further the Library's mission and goals Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required, MLS preferred; strong customer service skills; experience working with children; Spanish fluency preferred; additional driver's training will be provided. Application Requirements Application Requirements:

- Coverage is provided for each employee for medical bills and work time lost due to on-the-job injuries.
Longevity Pay
- After completing a full year of employment with the City of North Little Rock, an employee is granted longevity pay at the rate of $5.25 per month times the number of years employed.
Vacation
- Accrual begins with date of hire with eligibility to use accrued vacation leave after six months of service. Vacation may be accumulated to a maximum of 30 days. Vacation is calculated:

- All full-time, regular, non-uniformed employees earn twenty (20) sick leave days annually with unlimited accumulation.
Discretionary Leave
- Employees with two or more years of continuous service on January 1 of each year are granted 16-48 hours discretionary leave during that year, depending on length of service.
Retirement Plan
- Mandatory and contributory, begins immediately.
